Event Center

Goldey-Beacom College is proud to offer various spaces for rent. Whether you need a conference room, classroom, or multipurpose space, we can accommodate your requests.

The Event Center

The newly built Event Center is equipped with overhead lighting, projector, projection screens, Zoom TV’s and internet access. Accommodations can be made for groups of 10-250 people through a variety of set-ups. The Event Center has a automated conference wall to divide the room in half.  Each half can be rented separately.

The Event Center Lobby

The Event Center Lobby is the perfect place for networking events, hors d’oeuvres, and pre-meeting displays.  With floor to ceiling windows, beautiful lighting and wi-fi, the Event Center Lobby serves as a great spot for coffee and refreshment breaks.

Residence Halls

Jackson Hall houses the Mental Health and Wellness Center.

GBC houses five different residence halls, each with apartments that are fully furnished, air-conditioned, include all utilities, and have Internet access. Find out more about on-campus living.

Getting to GBC

Not familiar with the area? Below you’ll find directions to get to GBC whether you’re driving, flying, or taking public transit.

Driving

From New Jersey/ New York

  1. Take the NJ Turnpike over the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
  2. Take I-95 South. Follow that until Exit 4B.
  3. Exit at 4B which will take you onto Churchman’s Road.
  4. Turn right onto Route 7. Follow it north past Delaware Park veering left to continue on Route 7.
    • DO NOT FOLLOW ROUTE 4.
    • Limestone Road (Route 7) will cross over Kirkwood Highway (Route 2) at a main intersection (Crossroads Restaurant, Shell Gas Station, NTB Auto, WSFS Bank).
  5. After this point, you will go through 4 traffic lights on Limestone Road.
  6. Make a right turn at the 5th light, New Linden Hill Road and GBC, where the GBC sign is.

From Washington D.C./Maryland/Baltimore

  1. Take I-95 North over until Exit 4B. Follow that until Exit 4B.
  2. Exit at 4B which will take you onto Churchman’s Road.
  3. Turn right onto Route 7. Follow it north past Delaware Park veering left to continue on Route 7.
    • DO NOT FOLLOW ROUTE 4.
    • Limestone Road (Route 7) will cross over Kirkwood Highway (Route 2) at a main intersection (Crossroads Restaurant, Shell Gas Station, NTB Auto, WSFS Bank).
  4. After this point, you will go through 4 traffic lights on Limestone Road.
  5. Make a right turn at the 5th light, New Linden Hill Road and GBC, where the GBC sign is.

From Downstate (Dover, VA, NC, etc.)

  1. Take route 13 North to Route 1.
  2. Follow Route 1 past the Christiana Mall.
    • Route 1 turns into Route 7 at this point.
  3. Follow it north past Delaware Park veering left to continue on Route 7.
    • DO NOT FOLLOW ROUTE 4.
    • Limestone Road (Route 7) will cross over Kirkwood Highway (Route 2) at a main intersection (Crossroads Restaurant, Shell Gas Station, NTB Auto, WSFS Bank).
  4. After this point, you will go through 4 traffic lights on Limestone Road.
  5. Make a right turn at the 5th light, New Linden Hill Road and GBC, where the GBC sign is.

From Pennsylvania Area (West Chester, Media)

  1. Take Route 202 to I-95 South. Follow that until Exit 4B.
  2. Exit at 4B which will take you onto Churchman’s Road.
  3. Turn right onto Route 7. Follow it north past Delaware Park veering left to continue on Route 7.
    • DO NOT FOLLOW ROUTE 4.
    • Limestone Road (Route 7) will cross over Kirkwood Highway (Route 2) at a main intersection (Crossroads Restaurant, Shell Gas Station, NTB Auto, WSFS Bank).
  4. After this point, you will go through 4 traffic lights on Limestone Road.
  5. Make a right turn at the 5th light, New Linden Hill Road and GBC, where the GBC sign is.

Public Transit

Amtrak trains operate nationwide and the East Coast network, which runs between Florida to New England, includes a stop in Wilmington. Greyhound and Peter Pan buses from Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., New York City, and numerous other cities travel to Wilmington.

The buses arrive in front of the Wilmington train station. From the Wilmington train station, it is a 35-minute ride to the College via the Rt18-R1 (dartfirststate.com) bus. Buses run at frequent intervals.

Various shuttle and taxi services also provide transportation in the Wilmington area. Additionally, regional rail service (SEPTA) is available to Wilmington on the Wilmington/Newark Line.

Flying & Shuttles

Philadelphia International Airport, about 50 minutes North of the College, and Baltimore/Washington International Airport, just over one hour South of the College, are the two closest and most convenient international airports.

If you are driving to the College from any of the airports, follow our directions for travel by car. Otherwise, ground transportation to and from the College is provided by various airport shuttle services.

Other Regional Airports

If you are arriving by air, you can use one of several airport shuttle services to get to the College, including Delaware Express Shuttle and Super Shuttle.

If you plan to arrive in Wilmington by bus or train, you can either take the Rt18-R1 (dartfirststate.com) bus to the College or contact one of Wilmington’s taxi services, like City Cab of Delaware.
